Ok, so we've decided we're gonna put in some drama... my suggestion is not TOO much. At a certain point drama just becomes ridiculous, and makes a story pointless, and not worth watching/reading/participating in (unless it's a joke, of course)

yeah, you can't really have too much of anything, too much drama would make it way too soap opery

a good plot is made of 3 things, Character development, Background, and Events. If you have a good background, and good idea put into place, but have a boring sequence of events, its really boring...and with bad Caracter development, people have a hard time experiencing the plot, and rather feel more on the outside looking in, and even if we dont realize it, whenever we read something or watch something, we are subconsciously puting ourselves into their shoes. And good happenings with a bad background story amkes you have little foundation, and feels as if you've got "wasted ideas."
If we can understand how to make a good plot, im sure we can pull together an amazing idea.

A Characters personality is his (or her) foundation, some authors have been known to want their character to do something, but then realize they wouldn't. In some cases, however, a character may stride from their written path if the experience some things, such as a death, or a marriage, or a birth.
Events obviously makes a the general story. A trying event such as those previously listed, test a characters personality, where as some events are important, not to the character, but to the bigger picture.
Background, a character background shapes the character, and the world around them. A world rocked by fear and war will not accept new people, or ideas, and one that is peaceful will not be ready for war.

oh, its going to be much more complicated than that, if it were that boring, than why the hell would we be working on this instead of playing Fallout 3? It will be epic, and when its done, im going to post the plot on POM.

Why don't we write like we were writing a fantasy story. We have all the characters, the setting, the plot, and everything else. Just integrate what we wanted to do or say in with the main plot and the story writes itself. A mix of action, love, suspense, drama, thrills, adventure, and raw fantasy. No element dominates the entire story, it's an even balance.
